Q: What is NICO?
A: NICO is acronym for National Investments Company Limited. NICO is an investment firm, which allows Tanzanians to own a piece of  former state-owned companies in one stock.
   
Q: How can I invest with NICO?
A: NICO's stock will be traded on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange. Any Tanzanian citizen will have the opportunity to purchase stock directly from NICO or through brokerage firms in Tanzania.
   
Q: When did NICO become a registered company?
A: NICO was registered on 25th June 2001 as a public company under a certificate of incorporation No. 41664. NICOs’ nominal capital is Tshs. 50 billion (fifty billion) divided into 50 million ordinary shares of Tshs. 1000 (one thousand) each.
   
Q: What do I do if I lose a share certificate?
A: Contact NICO's Investor Relations Department immediately.
   
Q: When does your fiscal year end?
A: Our fiscal year ends in October.

Q: What is NICO's ultimate goal as an investment firm?
A: NICO has been set up in order to allow Tanzanians to take control of their market and take was is rightfully theirs. Read the Services page for more on this.
   
Q: I am a Tanzanian living abroad, can I join NICO?
A: NICO is open for all of the Tanzanian general public. Your presence in Tanzania is not compulsory though visits to the emergency general meetings would be helpful as you can provide your thoughts and views.
   
Q: How am I notified of Emergency Meetings?
A: Emergency General Meetings are held from time to time such as the one at the Karimjee Hall and the shareholders are duly notified through mail in the form of a letter.
   
Q: What happens if I miss a Shareholders' Meeting?
A: Though it is best to make it to the meetings on time and as requested. Ultimately nothing will happen to you though your views and possible contributions to the matters discussed cannot and will not be considered at the meeting. Of course, if serious factors hinder your coming to a meeting your contacting us prior to the day of the meeting would be greatly appreciated.
